Main “Big Picture” Responsibilities at ETS

I work with course developers to gain an understanding of student needs, learning goals and the overall instructional approaches to help to create courses which support effective and engaging student learning experiences.

Day-to-Day Tasks at ETS

My regular work involves design/re-design and development of online and blended courses. The nature of the work requires me to not only draw on my accumulated technological knowledge, but to keep up with current technologies in order to find the best and/or most creative solutions for teaching and learning challenges.

Work History and Background

I stumbled into the world of education technology and learning design by accident. At a time when the roles of educational technologists and learning designer were not commonplace, my graphic design and web production and project planning skills were helpful in transitioning from face-to-face teaching to creating blended and online learning environments. I have nearly 20 years of experience working to support, design, and deliver learning in various capacities ranging from media design, project management, creating/implementing development and quality assurance processes. My experience includes working on hundreds of courses on multiple learning platforms.
