Alternative Grading Practices
Through alternative grading practices such as competency-based grading, specifications-based grading or ungrading, students are made to focus on their learning through meaningful feedback. Take a listen to Susan Blum on ungrading in episode 350 of the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast.

Turnitin is a tool you can use to empower students to reduce plagiarism and improve their writing. Please see an example from Dr. Leah Macfadyen’s online course where she provides an option for the students to use Turnitin to check their work before final submission.
