Main “Big Picture” Responsibilities at LDDI

I provide support to faculty and staff with any issue related to educational technologies and tools, such as Canvas, Zoom, CLAS, and Padlet. I also help educate the wider community on educational technology topics through workshops, conversations, and events.

What are some of your specific, hands-on, day-to-day tasks at LDDI?

My day-to-day tasks primarily consist of responding to requests and questions that come into the LDDI Inbox, ensuring that a prompt yet effective solution is given for each request. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need support!

How does your work help support the LDDI office, and the Faculty of Education as a whole?

My work allows for a smooth learning experience for all involved, including faculty, staff and students. My work ensures that the LDDI team is able to enhance students’ learning experience by exploring the latest educational technology innovations and designing inclusive and accessible courses. As a whole, my work allows the Faculty of Education to focus on delivering courses and providing services and leave resolving technical challenges to myself and our team.

What are your specific areas of interest in the field of educational technology or beyond? How is your work at LDDI contributing or playing into those areas of interest?

I’m specifically interested in how educators can further incorporate educational technology in their courses to create an interactive and fun learning experience. My work at LDDI allows me to dive into the world of educational technology and provide suggestions to instructors of the different tools that can further enhance student learning for their course’s needs.
