Connect Announcements

The Announcements tool inside Connect is the fastest way for instructors to communicate important information. Announcements are one of the first things students see after logging into Connect, and they can also be sent via email.

Key Features


  • The Announcements tool is most often used for communicating time-sensitive information to students.
  • Announcements are front and center when logging into Connect or accessing a course, appearing in the “My Announcements” information module.
  • Urgent announcements can be emailed to students as well as posted within Connect.
  • A course link can be added to send students to a relevant location in a course.
  • Date restrictions are available, making it possible to queue announcements to be posted automatically at a future time.
