What is it?
Keep is a note-taking app that you can sync across devices. You can use Keep for quick memos, images, sketches, doodles, checklists, you name it. Keep is also free to use and syncs with your Google account.
Why this app?
This app can help you keep all your tasks in a central location. Being a Google app, you won’t need to create a new account for something if you already have a Google account. From the browser app to your mobile device, you will never be far from any notes you write or reminders you need. Your notes can also be colour coded and organized through labels. Keep also supports note-sharing so share your notes with other people so you can begin a brainstorm with someone else!
How does it work?
- Sign up for a free account on Google or sign into your Google account on Keep.
- Create notes, organize them into labels and colours.
- Set reminders for your notes by selecting a note and clicking the finger button.
- Create a checklist by clicking the list icon and check things off as you finish them
Sign onto Google and try it out at Keep. Try putting all your physical notes on Keep (Such as: grocery lists, random musings, sketches, etc.) and see how much more efficient you become through integrating all your notes through Keep!
How is it used?
Use Google Keep to encourage quick note taking with students. With this app in the palm of their hand or on their laptop, they will always be able to jot something down when an interesting thought comes to mind. In group work settings, you can also encourage your students to share notes with each other as another platform for collaborative work.
