The Grade Center has several built-in icons designed to notify instructors of any changes, updates or warnings in the Grade Center. Most instructors are familiar with the “Needs Grading” icon, a yellow circle with a white exclamation point, as well as the “Completed” icon, a green circle with a white check mark. But there are several unfamiliar icons that often pop up when no visible changes have been submitted, leaving instructors questioning whether they have made a mistake in the Grade Center.
The Icon Legend shows the meaning of all the different icons instructors and TAs might encounter in the Grade Center. To access the legend, follow these quick and easy instructions!
(View Full Screen for best results)
- Access the Full Grade Center from Course Management menu on the left-hand side of your screen.
- Scroll down to the bottom of your screen and select Icon Legend on the right-hand side, below the Grade Center grid.
- A contextual menu should appear, with all the possible icons in the Grade Center.
